Off-Campus Sign-Out

All students are required to sign out (and back in) at the main office when leaving school premises for any reason during the school day. This practice ensures that the office is aware of students' whereabouts in case of emergencies or the need for parents or others to contact them.

Students in all grades are not permitted to leave the school campus at any time during the school day unless they have prior written parental and teacher permission.

Parents are requested to contact the attendance office and teacher via email, before the student is expected to leave. For synchronous e-learning lessons, parents or guardians must inform the classroom teacher via phone or email if a student will be absent or excused from class early.

Students who are 18 years and older must also sign out at the office if they need to leave the school campus during the school day for an urgent or time-sensitive appointment. If they are enrolled in e-learning classes, they must notify their teacher before the start of class if they need to leave early.

Due to the short lunch period, Senior School students are advised to remain in the building or on-site during lunch breaks. InnovOak School’s main campus is located in the Innovation District and there are no quick service food places that are within walking distance during lunch.

When picking up your child, please check in at the office, and office staff will notify the teacher to send the student down to meet you. Primary, Junior and Middle School students can only be signed out by a parent, while Senior School students may sign out if their departure details have been confirmed by the attendance secretary.
