Classroom Attendance Procedure
Senior School teachers are required to take attendance within the first ten minutes of each class, marking students as late if they are not present when the class begins.
Primary, Junior and Middle School teachers must also take attendance within the first ten minutes of the school day, marking students as late if they are not in the classroom when class begins.
Additionally, Primary, Junior, and Middle School teachers must take attendance within the first ten minutes of class after the lunch period. Students are considered late if they are not in class when it begins, regardless of the reason.
Attendance is recorded digitally in My InnovOak which is used by the Attendance Secretary to manage our safe arrival process and attendance notifications.
Parents are strongly encouraged to inform the office attendance line/email of any preplanned absences to streamline communication and allow the school to focus on more pressing matters.
