Safe Pick up and Drop Off
As a private school, we do offer limited transportation options beyond parent pickup. For students in Grade 7-12, we also encourage public transportation as there are bus stops and train stations nearby. There is no parking for students in the school lot at this time. If a student wishes to drive daily, there is paid parking available with the Ukranian Church and we can facillitate helping families make those arrangements as needed.
Parents arriving for pickup or drop off can stop along Michael Street or drop off in the lot that circles the Athletic Center.
If parents wish to park, please follow all street signage and avoid the front of the school out of respect for those wanting to just drop off.
We have designated the parking lot (front door) to school as a morning and afternoon entrance and exit for students on the first to third floor
There will be supervision for about 10 minutes before and after school. If there is no adult visible, please ensure you bring your child or send your Senior School student into the main office and sign in
For JK- Grade 1 students, in-person handoff away from other students will ensure a safe arrival and departure. Please enter and exit the church driveway and park your car. A teacher will be waiting at near the main entrance to greet you and do the hand off. At dismissal the teacher will remain with all students until you make contact in person
If a student is arriving late, please accompany them to the office to sign them in.
Grade 8-12 students do not need to be signed in if the parent has contacted the school.
Please note that we cannot release young students to strangers, neighbors, or grandparents without prior consent. If you are unable to pick your child up and the plans are different than normal arrangements, please contact the school ahead of time so that we are aware and can verify your instructions.
We expect students over Grade 3 to have a sensible understanding about public and personal safety. If any student feels unsafe or is approached by strangers when coming or leaving school, we will ensure we work with parents to alleviate any issues or will take actions as needed.
