InnovOak School does not modify courses for ELL. If a student cannot read and write at a U level in grade 11 or 12, then the next step is to have them working at C level English courses. We will suggest that student takes English at the C level to start and then move to U once their English proficiency has improved.
All teachers are responsible for supporting academic success for all students, including English language learners in their class. Teachers will make appropriate accommodations for ELL and ESL students and communicate student progress with respect to English language acquisition regularly throughout the course of study.
